ARTS ON THE AVENUE No. 4
When: 4-9 p.m. Sept. 11, 2010
Where: Seventh Avenue from 56th to 58th Streets AND 57th Street from Eighth to Sixth Avenues
What: Arts and Music–Sidewalk artists and vendors, bands and community drum circles
Hosted by: The Drum Hut, The Soap Box, Dakini Healing Arts, Kenosha Art Association
Note: Sept. 11 will be the Final Arts on the Avenue for 2010
PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE
- 4 p.m. DRUM AND DANCE SAMBA PARADE
Starts at intersection 57th Street & 7th Avenue.
Walk, drum and dance south to 58th Street, east to 6th Avenue, north to 56th Street and back to 7th Ave. - 5 p.m. PERFORMANCES BEGIN AT DRUM HUT AND SOAP BOX STAGES
DRUM HUT STAGE (5607 7th Ave.)
- 5 p.m. Ed Peterson, Guitar, Harmonica and Vocals
- 6 p.m. Capoeira: Martial Arts/Dance led by Ivy Berg
- 6:30 p.m. Laurel Marcinkus, Guitar and Vocals
- 8 p.m. Robbie Vitale, Guitar/Improv Dancers
- 8:30 p.m. Community Drum Circle
